En 1893, un joven farmacéutico de Carolina del Norte, llamado Caleb Bradham, empezó a experimentar con diferentes bebidas sin alcohol. No era extraño que los farmacéuticos de la época comerciasen con bebidas refrescantes creadas por ellos mismos. Su bebida que más se popularizó fue la que el llamaba “Brad’s drink” de agua carbonatada, azúcar, vainilla, aceites, pepsina y las nueces de cola.

En 1898, Caleb compró el nombre comercial “Pepsi Cola” por 100$ a un competidor que había ido a la quiebra.
Parece que fue un vecino de Bradham el artista que diseñó el primer logotipo de la bebida.

La popularidad instantánea de esta bebida llevó a Brad a centrar todo su negocio en este producto.

Pepsi vuelve a los 90 en su nuevo logo

El logo de Pepsi se renueva. Después del último diseño, de 2008, con su símbolobarrigón, la marca recupera en su identidad el corte clásico.

En la nueva composición integra de nuevo el nombre dentro de del círculo y en mayúsculas. Una singularidad formal que ha acompañado al logo de Pepsi entre 1950 y 1986, y más concretamente en la década de los 90, desde 1987 hasta 1997.
