We’re finally at the tail end of MAFS 2025, and for one final time in the experiment, Adrian and Awhina have left fans completely bamboozled.
To give you a quick TL;DR, Adrian and Awhina’s relationship has been pretty up and down throughout the whole shebang. The pair had to jump through a bunch of obstacles and issues, including clashing family and friends, Adrian abandoning the experiment briefly and the idea of a long distance relationship.

MAFS’ Awhina Rutene’s Twin Cleo Spills On Her Sister’s Reality TV Marriage: ‘Deserved Better’Right before Final Vows, the pair clashed at the Final Dinner Party after it was revealed that both of them when on the Final Test Date and Adrian’s uncertainty with continuing their marriage as a long distance one.
Ahead of their Final Vows, Adrian and Awhina had a chat regarding their Dinner Party spat. Unfortunately, their chat just ended up in an extended version of their scuffle, with Adrian telling his ‘wife’ “there is doubt” in their relationship.
With their explosive pre-Final Vows argument, it gave us the idea that these two were gonna (finally) dump each other… or so we thought.
After taking time apart to reflect on their experience in the experiment, it was finally time for Adrian and Awhina to partake in their Final Vows.
Following a bunch of mushy wedding flashbacks, a string of sweet nothings and chats about how “hot” Adrian is to Awhina, the pair decided that it would be best if they broke up. However, after making the decision to end things, the pair stood in a sombre silence before the Sydney-based groom broke the ice with the smile only Awhina could fall for.
“Stop smiling at me,” Awhina giggled before she went on a spiel about how Adrian “likes” her.
“You said you wouldn’t wanna do this experience with anyone else… Do you want to spend time with me tonight?”
GOD NO.
The Perth-based bride went on to say that she believed they looked at the Final Vows “too black and white,” to which Adrian agreed.
As a result, the pair agreed to backflip on their Final Vows and give their relationship one final shot.
SEE? This show is literally plot-twist city.
“Yeah, we’re going out together. I think we both know the situation, and there’s no pressure to it. Awhina is a lucky woman,” Adrian laughed before Awhina scoffed.
“The future is bright.”
