What is the normal range for blood test results? ›

The normal range for RBCs is between 4.2 and 6.1 million/mcL (4.2-5.4 million/mcL for women and 4.7-6.1 million/mcL for men). The CBC measures red blood cells in many ways. On your lab report, you might also see values for: Hemoglobin (Hgb), the part of each RBC that carries iron (the normal range is 12-18 g/dL)

When will my results come back? Most routine blood tests will take 72 hours. The following blood tests will take longer: Diabetes blood test (Hba1c) – 1 week.
